I was born and raised in Jefferson City, MO. I attended grade school, high school and college right there in my home town. I was married to my childhood sweetheart in 1973. We moved to Harbor Beach, Michigan, where my husband was currently teaching at Zion Lutheran School. I became a part of that staff, teaching grades K, 1 and 2. Two years later, we returned to Missouri to be close to family. We both began teaching at Hope Lutheran School in St. Ann, MO. I taught a morning Kindergarten and Language Art in grades 3-8 in the afternoon. Five years later I accepted a position as First Grade teacher at River Roads Lutheran School in St. Louis. Six years later, I started an All Day Kindergarten at that school. I continued that ministry for the next 12 years. I then became a part of the Atonement Family. This is my 26th year as Atonement's Kindergarten teacher.
I love teaching young children, but Kindergarten is my favorite. They are so eager to learn, and everything is exciting for them. I consider it a privilege to teach these children about their Jesus, their Savior.
In my leisure time, I enjoy sewing, crafts, reading and walking.
